3D animation is a great way to repurpose physical marketing tools in the digital space, but how do you do it?
Each time a lot of land was sold at Calderwood Valley, a photograph was taken of the buyer and the photo pinned to a tree in the sales office. The physical tree had run out of room to grow.
The Calderwood Valley logo is a tree so we were keen to continue with that device and the overall concept of putting faces on trees.
The idea is to regularly update the tree with the latest happy home buyers in a 3D animation. Presenting faces is key to creating a sense of belonging in the new community so the fast zoom into the photos is supported by relaxing, folk music backing track.
Habitat Digital is also responsible for physical assets. Initially, we worked with a joinery maker to product a ‘command centre’ where customers can review project information and project it from the touch screen to an adjacent video wall. You can see some photos of the project here
